Employment at Camp

We are looking for dynamic kid experts and positive role models.

Summer Camp Staff - Must be available from June 17-August 18, 2012. Summer porgrams are all Sunday-Saturday followed by 24 hours off for staff (some variation occurs in two-week teen leadership programs).

Applications are currently being accepted for the summer of 2012 for the following positions

Assistant Camp Leaders (volunteers)

Cabin Leader

$185-200/week (9 weeks) - Age 18+/high school graduate preferred; experience working with children and/or one season of camp experience required; prefer at least one year of college. Co-lead a cabin of 10-12 campers, develop campers character, team building, instruct skills classes and participate in the entire camp program.

Program Cabin Leader

$200-225/week (9 weeks) - Age 18+/high school graduate preferred; experience working with children and/or one season of camp experience required; prefer at least one year of college. Specialize in archery, guitar, performing arts, swim lessons/lifeguards, climbing, challenge/adventure, kayaking, sailing, crafts, or sports. Co-lead a cabin of 10-12 campers, develop campers character and instruct skill building activities.

Teen Adventure Staff

$225-250/week (7-10 weeks) - Age 21+; Wilderness First Aid (or more advanced medical) certification required and/or lifeguarding certification; experience in extended backpacking and/or kayaking trips prefered; experience working with children and/or one season of camp experience required; prefer at least one year of college. Co-lead extended wilderness expeditions, with 8-10 participants, into Olympic National Park or in and around South Puget Sound.

Trip Oufitter

$250/week (10 weeks) - Age 21+; valid drivers license (commercial preferred); experience in extended backpacking or kayaking preferred; experience with oudoor equipment essential (tents, stoves, backpacks, dry bags, kayaks, trailers, etc.). Provide logistical support for teen adventure trips including camping arrangements, transportation, communication, map support, etc. for all off-site camping excursions.

Unit Director

$250/week (9 weeks) - Age 21+; experience in overnight camp program (min. two years) ir required; experience supervising staff is beneficial; lifeguard certification or archery/boating certifications are a plus. Directly supervise a cabin leader team, plan and coordinate camp activities and schedules. Work closely with camp's leadership team to manage facility use and resources. This position includes camper behavior management, and management of a "unit" of campers (i.e. 20-60 campers, 2-6 cabins, staff and 6-8 volunteer teens).
