Changes for Summer 2010

New! Cabin Group Activity Rotations - more time spent with the cabin group and in the Unit, means more age-approriate activities and fun. With an enhanced focus on friendship-building and activities designed to help campers make friends in their cabin group, campers become positive peer influences and kids can get to know their cabin leader role-models on a higher level. This change will make each camper feel included and part of a team.

New! Three-tiered pricing structure - The price of camp had become a factor in a number of families making a choice to not attend camp. We, at Camp Seymour, feel that camp is an important part of every child's development. Our solution is to utilize the funds raised in our annual Strong Kids Campaign to support families that camp is barely out of the range of possibility. To learn more about three-tiered pricing, see the explaination on the printable Summer Resident Camp Registration form. This change makes it possible for every child to have a camp experience.

New! Friday Check-Out - Families are invited to join us for our closing campfire on Friday afternoons. Unit 3&4 (Older kids) will have a campfire at 1:00 PM, followed by a familiy BBQ. Unit 1 & 2 will have a campfire at 2:30 PM, followed by a family BBQ. If you have campers in both groups, please join us for the second campfire at 2:30 PM. We have a new performing arts show (Sessions 4, 6, 7 & 8) and their performance will be on Fridays at 2:00 PM. Everyone is welcome to join us for that show. This change makes it possible for families toi share in the camp magic of a closing campfire and share in the camp experience of their child(ren).
