Join us this summer! Discover the magic of camp and enjoy fun activities in the great outdoors! YMCA Camp Seymour offers progressive, values-oriented, camper-centered programs for youth ages 6-18. Our activities combine new friendships, adventure and personal growth creating days as unique as each of our campers and memories that last a lifetime.

A Trusted Tradition

A youth camping tradition since 1905, our programs are based on YMCA values - Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Service, and Forgiveness. We nurture campers in a challenging and supportive environment where their safety and well being are our utmost concerns. Our American Camp Association (ACA) accreditation indicates we meet or exceed industry standards in key areas, including health & safety, program design, transportation, food service, human resources, and site management.

Caring and Fun, Qualified Staff

YMCA Camp Seymour's programs are directed by full-time YMCA professionals and staffed with dedicated, dynamic leaders. Staff are selected for maturity, understanding, patience, and demonstrated interest in working with youth. Our selection process includes an application, interview, references, and a background check. Staff complete an extensive orientation and training before campers arrive. The majority of our staff are certified in first aid and CPR, and certified lifeguards supervise all swimming activities.

Life at Resident Camp

Campers live in a cabin or yurt while at camp, with a single-sex group of children who are similar in age and 1-2 adult staff. Cabins have electricity, heat, and bathrooms; yurts have electricity, with a separate bathroom building nearby. Campers eat meals in our Dining Hall, with multiple options at each meal. For example, a typical breakfast includes pancakes and sausage as the hot option served family style at the table, with cereal, oatmeal, fruit, and yogurt available on the buffet bar. Cabin groups spend one night sleeping outside and enjoying a dinner and breakfast cookout.
