Financial Assistance
Camp Seymour has introduced a new three-tiered pricing strategy to assist families that might be opting out of sending their kids due to the expense. We never want the money to stand in the way of campers attending camp. Take a look at the new rates and see if one of those might work for your family budget. Within the availabile resources of the association, the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties will provide service for any youth or adult who desires to participate in YMCA programs, regardless of ability to pay the full membership or program fees. Financial assistance is available on a sliding scale according to family size and income. YMCA Camp Seymour Summer Camp Financial Assistance Policy
If you are applying for financial assistance and wish to continue with the on-line registration, please, select the "Tier 2" rate. All financial assistance will be granted/deducted from that rate.
In an effort to serve as many applicants as possible, Camp Seymour has adopted the following policy for its summer camp programs:
- Financial assistance is granted on a percentage of discount basis, which is determined by demonstrated financial need (see Guidelines for Financial Assistance).
- The full percentage of discount will be applied to one (1) camp session only.
- Participants wishing to register for additional camp sessions will receive financial assistance at the rate of:
Two-thirds (2/3) of the full percentage discount for a second session
One third (1/3) of the full percentage discount for a third session
Participant will pay in full for fourth or greater number of sessions.
Example: If you are granted financial assistance at a percentage discount of 30%, you would receive a 30% discount on the first session, 20% discount on the second session, 10% discount on the third session, and pay full amount for the fourth session.
Note: financial assistance for Camp Surf is only available for a maximum of 30% off the cost of the program.
